Ok. I try to understand.
Let 1/x be a and 1/y be b
so a/2 +b/3 =2
3a +2b =2 * 6 = 12
and a/3 + b/2 = 13/6
2a + 3b= 13/6 * 6 = 13
add both eqn we get 5a+5b = 25 or a+b = 5
subtract them and get b-a = 1
these are equation 3 and 4 respectively
