Step-by-step explanation:

3x+4y=11.............(i)

4x+3y=12...............(ii)

By using elimination method:

(3x+4y=11)•3

(4x+3y=12)•4

9x+12y=33

16x+12y=48

- - -

_________

-7x = -15

7x=15

x=15/7

put the value of x in equation (i)

3x+4y=11

3•15/7+4y=11

45/7+4y=11

45+28y/7=11

45+28y=11•7

45+28y=77

28y=77-45

28y=32

y=32/28

y=8/7

value of x-y=15/7-8/7

=15-8/7

=7/7

=1

Hope it helps you
