Answer:

a=0, b=12

Step-by-step explanation:

x-1  is factor => x=1

x³- ax²- 13x + b=0

1-a-13+b=0

b=a+12 ----------(1)

x-3 is factor => x=3

x³- ax²- 13x + b=0

27-9a-39+b=0

b=9a+12 -----------(2)

Comparing (1) and (2) We find values of a and b:

a+12=9a+12

a=0

b=a+12=12
