Required number = 1/2 (2/7 + 3/4)

= 1/2 ((8 + 21)/28)

= {1/2 × 29/28)

= 29/56

Hence, 29/56 is a rational number lying halfway between 2/7 and 3/4.

The positive number that is present between the two given numbers would be 29/56

Correct question

find positive rational numbers between 2/7 & 3/4

Given

  • rational numbers 2/7 & 3/4

To find

  • rational numbers between these.

solution

we are provided with two rational numbers and are asked to find a positive number that shall present in between the two given numbers.

we know that there are infinite numbers present between two given numbers which would be estimated by using the following standard equation.

(a +b)/2 where a and b are two numbers.

now the positive number present between the two given numbers in the question would be,

1/2( 2/7 + 3/4)

or, 1 /2 ( {8+21}/28 )

or, 1/2 ({29}/28 )

or, 29/56

Therefore, the positive number that is present between the two given numbers would be 29/56.
