d = 48 m

h = 7 m

# Solution -

We know,

r = d/2

r = 48/2

r = 24 m

And,

l = √(r^2 + h^2)

l = √(24^2 + 7^2)

l = √(576 + 49)

l = √(625)

l = 25 m

Curved surface area of conical tent -

A = πrl

A = 3.142 × 24 × 25

A = 1885 m²

Length of canvas is calculated by -

x = A/w × (100+10)/100

x = 1885/1.5 × 1.1

x = 1382 m

Cost of canvas is -

Cost = 1382 × 24

Cost = 33176 Rs
