Answer: It has non terminating, repeating decimal expansion.

Explanation: A rational number is only terminating when its denominator can be represented in form of 2^a . 5^b and when (a, b) ∈ W.

But, in 5/6,

6 = 2 × 3 (no presence of 5).

More: An example of terminating rational number is 1/5.

To find :  wheather 5/6 is terminating or non terminating decimal expansion

Solution:

Any rational number wriitten in simple fraction form

p/q

where p and q are co prime

if q has  any prime factor other than 2 and 5 then its non terminating recurring decimal

other wise its terminating decimal
