No it's not a solution...
Proof:
X=-2
Y=2
2-(-2)=y-x
4=0
That is 4 not equal to 0

(-2,2)

y-x = 0

L.H.S =y-x
= 2-(-2)
=4

4 is not equal to 0 so it is not the solution of the given equation.
