b₁ = 2 and b₂ = - 4

c₁ = 8 and c₂ = 9

a₁/a₂ = 3/6 = 1/2

b₁/b₂ = 2/-4 = 1/-2

Since, a₁/a₂ ≠ b₁/b₂ or 1/2 ≠ 1/-2, hence the following pair of linear equation is consistent.
