8 is the wrong number, 4 should come instead of 8 as every number in the series is being multiplied by itself to get the next number in the series.

I get a difference b/w digits ...8-2=6,,16-8=8,,64-16=48,,128-64=64,,510-128=382,,1024-510=514
it is also very confusing ,
