First we have to same the bases.

As we know 8=2^3.

Replace 8 with 2^3.

Like this .

2^3x=2^3(2x+1).

Now 3x=3(2x+1) distribute 3 by the Barker.

3x=6x+3.

6x+3=3x.

6x-3x=-3.

3x=-3.

X=-1.
