Hence,

Let's consider ;

Now,

Multiply equation 1 with 2

So,

2 ( x - y ) = 2 ( 5 )

consider this as equation 3

Hence,

Subtraction equation 3 from equation 2

So,

2x + 3y = 10

2x - 2y = 10

Hence,

Value of y is 0

Now substitute this value of y in equation 1 to find the value of x .

So,

➾ x - 0 = 5
