The value of x is 2 and the value of y is -12.

Given:

3[5  -6  4  x] - [6  y  0  6]= 3[3  -2  4  0]

To find:

Values of x and y.

Solution:

3[5  -6  4  x] - [6  y  0  6]= 3[3  -2  4  0]

[15  -18  12  3x] - [6  y  0  6]= [ 9  -6  12  0]

[9  -18-y  12  3x-6]= [9  -6  12  0]

Equating corresponding elements

-18-y= -6

-y= -6+18=12

y= -12

Also, 3x-6=0

3x=6

x=2

Thus, the values of x and y are 2 and -12.
