Welcome to the concept of logarithum:. We know that log(ab)= log a+ log b. And log (a/b) = log a- log b . Now in yr question : log (xy) = log(x/y) = 2 . This means log x+ log y= 2. ..........(1) And log x- log y= 2.........(2). Now solve for x and y.
