Answer:

x= 100°

y = 80°

Step-by-step explanation:

In a trapezium the adjacent angles are supplementary,( i.e they add up to 180°)

so, angle A and angle D are supplementary angles..

angle A + angle y = 180

100 + angle y = 180

angle y = 180 - 100

angle y = 80°

now....angle y and angle x are supplementary

angle x + angle y = 180

angle x = 180 - angle y

angle x = 180 - 80

so, angle x = 100°

Answer:

x=60°

y=80°

Step-by-step explanation:

angle BAD=100°

Angle BAD+ angleBAP=180°

100°+angle BAP=180°

angle BAP=180°-100°

angle BAP=80°

angle BAP=angle y=80°(AB parallel to DC and DP is the transversal)

In triangle ABP

sum of angle of triangle ABP =180°

40°+80°+PBA=180°

120°+PBA=180°

PBA=180°-120°

PBA=60°

angle PBA=angle x=60°(AB parallel to DC and CP is the transversal)
