Here is the answer you were looking for:
y = angle SQR
[ alternate interior angle ]
y = 28°
We know that sum of all angles of a triangle equals 180°
So, in ∆ SPQ
angle SPQ + angle PQS + angle QSP = 180°
90° + x + 28° = 180°
x + 118° = 180°
x = 180° - 118°
x = 62°
