Case-1

2^x+3^y=17

or, 2^x+3^y=(2)^3+(3)^2

So, x=3  and  y= 2

Case-2

2^x+2-3^y+1=5

L.H.S.

2^x+2 - 3^y+1

= 2^(3+2) - 3^(2+1)

= 2^5 - 3^3

= 32 - 27

= 5

Hence, L.H.S. = R.H.S. (is proved)
