x+y/xy=5 and x-y/xy=9
form this
x/xy+y/xy=5
x/xy-x/xy=9
solving this we can get
1/y+1/x=5........(1)
1/y-1/x=9.........(2)
from this
let 1/y =b
and 1/x=a
we get equations as
b+a=5
b-a=9
adding this
we get
2b=14 b= 7
substituting b in equation 1 we get
7+a=5
a=-2
from our first assumption
that
1/y =b
=7
1/x=a
=-2
from this we get
x=-1/2 and y=1/7
form this
x/xy+y/xy=5
x/xy-x/xy=9
solving this we can get
1/y+1/x=5........(1)
1/y-1/x=9.........(2)
from this
let 1/y =b
and 1/x=a
we get equations as
b+a=5
b-a=9
adding this

2b=14 b= 7
substituting b in equation 1 we get
7+a=5
a=-2
from our first assumption
that
1/y =b
=7
1/x=a
=-2
from this we get
x=-1/2 and y=1/7
