AS THE GIVEN FIGURE IS RECTANGLE :

AB//DC

So,

(x+36)° = 68°

x = 32°

So,

angle ABO = 68°

we know that

sum of three sides in a triangle = 180°

y = 180-(68+68)

y = 180-136

y = 44°

Answer:

given= ABCD is a rectangle...

to find= x and y

Step-by-step explanation:

<DCO=<OAB. ( alternate interior angles)

so,

x + 36⁰= 68⁰

x = 68⁰ - 36⁰

x = 32⁰

now,

in triangle AOB...

<OAB = <OBA( diagonals of rectangle bisect each other i.e. OA=OB so angles opposite to equal sides are equal)

so, in triangle OAB,by angles sum property of triangle

<OAB + <OBA + < AOB = 180⁰

68⁰ + 68⁰ + Y. = 180⁰

Y = 180⁰ - 136⁰

Y = 44⁰
