Step-by-step explanation:

x²+y²=10

(x+y)²-2xy=10

x²+y²+2xy-2xy=10

x²+y²+6-2xy=10

x²+y²-2xy=10-6

(x-y)²=4

x-y=√4

x-y=2_________(3)

x=y+2_________(4)

by putting value of x in eq (2)

2(y+2)y = 6

(2y+4)y=6

2y²+4y=6

2y²+4y-6=0

2y²+6y-2y-6=0

2y(y+3)-2(y+3)=0

(2y-2)(y+3)=0

y=1,y= -3

Putting these values in eq (4)

if y=1

x=1+2

=3

if y=-3

x=-3+2

=-1
