Given median = 58.

Given that total number of observations = 58.

= > (3rd value of observation + 4th value of observation)/2 = 58

= > (x - 1 + 68)/2 = 58

= > (x + 67)/2 = 58

= > (x + 67) = 58 * 2

= > (x + 67) = 116

= > x = 116 - 67

= > x = 49.


Therefore the value of x = 49.
