Answer :

(a) n = 2

(b) x = 17/14

(c) x = 3

Given :

  • 7n + 5 = 19
  • 2(x-2) + 3(4x – 1) = 10
  • 2x + 14 = 9x – 7

To find :

  • x for the following

Solution :

⇒ Let's find the value of x.

→ 7n + 5 = 19

→ 7n = 19 - 5

→ 7n = 14

→ n = 14/7

→ n = 2

∴ n = 2

→ 2(x-2) + 3(4x – 1) = 10

→ 2x - 4 +  3 ( 4 x – 1) = 10

→ 2x - 4 + 12x – 1 = 10

→ 2x - 4 + 12x - 3 = 10

→ 2x - 7 + 12x = 10

→ 14x - 7 = 10

→ 14x = 10 + 7

→ x = 17/14

∴ x = 17/14

→ 2x + 14 = 9x – 7

→ 2x = 9x - 21

→ 9x - 2x = 21

→ 7x = 21

→ x = 21/7

→ x = 3

∴ x = 3

Answer:

A ) 7n + 5 = 19

= n = 2

Find the value of x ,

7n + 5 = 19 \\ 7n = 19 - 5 \\ 7n = 14 \\ n = \frac{14}{7} \\ n = 2

B ) 2 (x - 2) + 3 (4x - 1 )= 10

= x = 17/14

2(x - 2) + 3(4x - 1) = 10 \\ 2x - 4 + 3(4x - 1) = 10 \\ 2x - 4 + 12x - 1 = 10 \\ 2x - 4 + 12x - 3 = 10 \\ 2x - 7 + 12x = 10 \\ 14x - 7 = 10 \\ 14x = 10 + 7 \\ 14x = 17 \\ x =  \frac{17}{14}

C ) x = 3

2x + 14 = 9x - 7 \\ 2x = 9x - 1 \\ 9x - 2x = 21 \\ 7x = 21 \\ x = \frac{21}{7} \\ x = 3
