We have been asked to find 'x' in \tt{ 4 - 7x = \dfrac{11}{4}}

Firstly we will transpose the non 'x' term i.e 4 to the other side of the equal to sign.

\longrightarrow{\tt{7x = \dfrac{11}{4} - 4}}

\longrightarrow{\tt{7x = \dfrac{11}{4} - \dfrac{4}{1}}}

After taking LCM and also operating the numerator we get :

\longrightarrow{\tt{7x = \dfrac{11-16}{4}}}

\longrightarrow{\tt{7x = \dfrac{-5}{4}}}

\longrightarrow{\tt{x = \dfrac{\dfrac{-5}{4}}{7}}}

\longrightarrow{\tt{ x = \dfrac{-5}{4 \times 7}}}

\large{\boxed{\tt{x = \dfrac{-5}{28}}}}
