By pythagoras theorem :-

${(ab)}^{2} = {(oa)}^{2} + {(ob)}^{2} \\ {x}^{2} = {12}^{2} + {5}^{2} \\ {x}^{2} = 144 + 25 \\ {x}^{2} = 169 \\ x = \sqrt{169} \\ {\boxed{ x = 13}}$
