Answer:

(-2/3)^-13 × (3/-2)^8=(-2/3)^-2x+1

=》(-2/3)^-13 ×(-2/3)^-8=(-2/3)^-2x+1

when base are equal then power will also equal

=》-13 +(-8)=-2x+1

=》-13-8-1=-2x

=》-22=-2x

cancelling (-) from both sides

22=2x

=》22/2=x

=>11=x

Answer:

Given:

  • \bold{(\dfrac{-2}{3})^{-13} \times (\dfrac{-2}{3})^{-8} = (\dfrac{-2}{3})^{-2x + 1}}

Find:

  • Find the value of x.

Calculations:

\bold{(\dfrac{-2}{3})^{-13} \times (\dfrac{-2}{3})^{-8} = (\dfrac{-2}{3})^{-2x + 1}}

\bold{-13 + (-8) = -2x + 1}

\bold{-13 - 8 - 1 = -2x}

{\sf{\underline{\boxed{\red{\sf{-22 = -2x }}}}}}

Removing (-ve) sign in both the sides.

\bold{22 = 2x}

\bold{\cancel{\dfrac{22}{2}} = x}

{\sf{\underline{\boxed{\red{\sf{11 = x}}}}}}
