Given : 2 , 7 , 5 , (x/2) are in proportion

To Find :  x

Solution:

a : b :: c : d

=> a/b = c/d

=> ad  = bc

2 : 7 :: 5 : x/2

Product of middle two term = Product of extremes

=> 7 * 5 = 2 * x/2

=> 35 = x

=> x = 35

Hence Value of x  is  35
