- Means is the middle part of the proportion.
And 'Extremes'.
- This is the exterior part of the proportion.
This means two ratios are said to be in proportion only if product of means is equal to product of extremes.
- i.e.,32×x=4×64
So now as x has to be founded in this case we will use algebraic expression to solve this.
Now we will multiply extremes first.
Then we will move 32 to R.H.S. as all constants needs to be on R.H.S by changing there sign.
So ×32 will be ÷32.
Now on division 256 and 32 gives 8 as the quotient.
