To find:-

  • x if 1/x + 1/3 = 1

Solution:-

\tt \dfrac{1}{x}+\dfrac{1}{3}=1 \\\\ \tt Taking\:\:LCM\:\:of\:\:Denominator \\\\ So, \:\:we\:\: get\:\: LCM\:\: of\:\: denominator\:\: as\:\: 3x\\\\ \tt \Rightarrow \dfrac{(3\times 1)+(x\times1)}{3x} = 1 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow \dfrac{3+x}{3x}=1 \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow 3+x=3x \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow 3=3x-x \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow 3=2x \\\\ \tt \Rightarrow \dfrac{3}{2}=x
