Find x if AB is parallel to CD is parallel to EF

EF || CD, EC is the transversal

<FEC + <ECD = 180 [ Co-interior angles i.e. the sum of the interior angles on the same side of tranversal is 180⁰ ]

→ 140 + <ECD = 180

→ <ECD = 180 - 140

<ECD = 40⁰

Now,

AB || CD , BC is the transversal

<BCD = <ABC [ Alternate angles ]

→ x + <ECD = 60⁰

→ x + 40 = 60

→ x = 60 - 40

= 20

Hence, x = 20⁰
