Find x if cos^2 30° + cos^2 x = 1

cos^2(30°) + cos^2(x)=1

we know,

cos 30°=√3/2.

so,

(√3/2)^2 +cos^2(x)=1.

=>cos ^2 x = 1- 3/4

=>cos^2 x = 1/4

=>cos x= +1/2 or -1/2

so, if cos x = 1/4

cos x= 1/2

cos x = cos 60°

x= 60°.

when ,

cos x = - 1/2

cos x = cos 2π/3

x= 2π/3.
