So. (p/q)+(q/p)=2

i.e., x+(1/x)=2

x^2 + 1 = 2x

x^2 -2x +1 =0

x^2-x-x+1=0

x(x-1)-1(x-1)=0

(x-1)(x-1)=0

(x-1)=0 or (x-1)=0

x=1 and x=1
