QUESTION :
Find x, if the angles of a triangle are:
(i) x°, x°, x°
(ii) x°, 2x°, 2x°
ANSWER :
1. the angles of the triangle are x°,x° and x°
so by angle sum property of a triangle
x°+x°+x°=180
so 3x=180
X=60°
so the angles of the triangle will be 60°,60° and 60°
so the triangle will be an equilateral triangle whose all sides and angles are equal
2. the angles of the triangle are x°,2x° and 2x°
so by angle sum property of a triangle
x°+2x°+2x°=180
so 5x=180
X=36°
so the angles of the triangle will be 36°,72° and 72°
so the triangle will be an isosceles triangle whose two sides are equal and angle opposite to the sides are also equal
