SOLUTION :

The number of observations is 6 i.e a even no .

So ,

median = \frac{( \frac{n}{2})^{th} + ( \frac{n}{2} + 1)^{th} }{2}

13 = \frac{ (\frac{6}{2})^{th} + ( \frac{6}{2} + 1)^{th} }{2} \\ 13 = \frac{(3)^{th} + (3 + 1)^{th} }{2} \\ 13= \frac{(3)^{th} + (4)^{th} }{2} \\

13 = \frac{12 + x}{2} \\ 13 \times 2 = 12 + x \\ 26 = 12 + x \\ 26 - 12 = x \\ 14 = x \\ x = 14
