In the given figure,

Let the vertex if the 2 angles be O

∠POR and ∠QOR lie on the same straight line PQ.

So by linear pair of angles, there sum would be 180°

∠POR + ∠QOR = 180°

➝ 4x + 2x = 180°

➝ 6x = 180°

➝ x = 180° ÷ 6

➝ x = 30°

• ∠POR

= 4x

= 4(30)

= 120°

• ∠QOR

= 2x

= 2(30)

= 60°

∴ The angles are 120° and 60°

Verification:

The sum of 2 angles must be 180°

Here,

120° + 60° = 180°

180° = 180°
