In Triangle OMN , because of angle sum property , all interior angles add up to 180° .

angle MNO = 90° { Given }

angle MON = 2x° {Given}

angle NMO = x° { Given }

So ,

90 + 2x + x = 180

90 + 3x = 180

3x = 90

x= 30 °

Nature of a medium i.e. its optical density (e.g. μg = 1.5, μw = 1.33) – Smaller the speed of light in a medium relative to air, higher is the refractive index of that medium.

Physical condition such as temperature – with increase in temperature, the speed of light in medium increases, so the refractive index of medium decreases.
