Hi ,

***********************************

We know the Exponential Laws:

i ) a^m × a^n = a^m+n

ii ) If a^m = a^n then m = n

***************************************

(2/3)^-5×(2/3)^-11 = (2/3)^8x

=> (2/3)^-5-11 = (2/3)^8x

=> ( 2/3 )^-16 = (2/3)^8x

=> -16 = 8x

=> ( -16 )/8 = x

=> -2 = x

Therefore ,

x = -2

I hope this helps you.
