Step-by-step explanation:

x²+3x+1, x²-7x+3, x²+5x+16 are in AP

then,. (x²+3x+1 + x²-7x+3)/2= x²+5x+16

x²-2x+2 = x²+5x+16

-2x+2 = 5x +16

-7x=14

x= -2

Answer:

x^2+5x+16 - (x^2+3x+1) = x^2-7x+3 - (x^2+5x+16)

x^2+5x+16 -x^2-3x-1 = x^2-7x+3 -x^2-5x-16

2x+15 = -13-15

2x+12x = -28

14x = -28

x = -2
