(x+y) ÷ (x-y)

= (5/2 + -3/4) ÷ (5/2 - -3/4)

= (10/4 - 3/4) ÷ (10/4 + 3/4)

= (7/4) ÷ (13/4)

=7  x  4

 4     13

=7/13

5/2+(-3/4)/5/2-(-3/4)

=2.5+(-0.75)/2.5-(-0.75)

=2.5-0.75/2.5+0.75

=1.75/3.25

=175/325

=35/65

=7/13

=0.538461538
