Find x+y, if 2x+4y=6 , & 3x+2y=4 ??​

x= 6 - 4y/2-------------(1)

3x+2y=4

now substitute (1) into this equation

3(6-4y/2) + 2y = 4

18/2 - 12y/2 + 2y = 4

9-6y+2y = 4

9-4y = 4

-4y = 4-9

y = 5/4-------------(2)

Now substitute (2) in (1)

x = 6- 4(5/4)/2

x = 6- 5/2

x = 1/2

so, x+y = 5/4-1/2
