Step-by-step explanation:

3x=10+y

x=10+y/3

putting value in second equation

10+y/3-3y=6

10+y-9y=18

-8y=8

y=-1

putting value in first equation

3x+1=10

3x=9

x=3

x-y=3-(-1)

=3+1

=4

ANSWER : x-y = 4 .

LET'S SOLVE IT :-

3x - y= 10 ---------( i )

x- 3y = 6 ---------( ii )

ADDING ( i ) AND ( ii ) , WE GET

(3x-y)+(x-3y) = 10+6

3x-y+x-3y = 16

4x - 4y = 16

4 ( x-y ) = 16

x - y = 16/4

x-y = 4 .
