Find ( x + y ) ÷ ( x – y ) for x = - 5/ 4 , y = - 3/ 2.

Answer:

x = - 5/ 4 , y = - 3/ 2.

( x + y ) ÷ ( x – y )

= (-5/4 -3/2) ÷ (-5/4 +3/2)

= (-5-6/4) ÷ (-5+6/4)

= -11/4 × 4/1

= -11
