x+y = \frac{5}{4} + \frac{3}{4}

         = \frac{(5+3)}{4} \\\\    = \frac{8}{4} \\\\x+y = 2

x-y = \frac{5}{4} -\frac{3}{4} \\\\   = \frac{(5-3)}{4} \\\\= \frac{2}{4} \\\\x-y= \frac{1}{2}

\frac{(x+y)}{(x-y)} = \frac{(2)}{1/2}

= \frac{2}{1} X \frac{1}{2}

= 2

(x+y)÷(x-y) = 2
