We have to find first X+Y

X+Y= 5/2 + (-3/4)

       = 5/2-3/4=>10-3/4=> 7/4

Now we find X-Y

X-Y= 5/2 - (-3/4) => 5/2 + 3/4=>10+3/4 =>13/4

Now X+Y/X-Y= (7/4) / (13/4) => 7/13

I hope this helps you
