since angle ACB is 40 degree, angle PDB is also 40 degree (angles made by same arc)
Now use angle sum property in triangle PDB
you'll get y = 20 degree

Hello sir,
Given:
/_ ACB = 40°
/_ DPB = 120°
To Find:
/_ y
Solution :
/_ ACB=/_ PDB ( Angles in the same segment)
/_ PDB = 40°
In ∆DPB
/_DPB+/_PDB+/_y = 180° (Angle Sum property of ∆s)
120° + 40° +/_y = 180°
160° +/_y = 180°
/_ y = 180°-160°
/_y = 20°
======================
Hope this helped u..
