1st polynomial: p(x) = 3x + 2

To find the zero of p(x), we take p(x) = 0

⇒ 3x + 2 = 0

⇒ 3x = - 2

⇒ x = - 2/3

the zero of p(x) = 3x + 2 is - 2/3

2nd polynomial: p(x) = bx

To find the zero of p(x), we take p(x) = 0

⇒ bx = 0

⇒ x = 0

the zero of p(x) = bx is 0
