x =    0 or 1

α = 0                                                  β = 1

                               α+β = -b÷a                          →   α+β = 1+0    

                             →  α+β = -(-1)÷1                                   = 1

                                        = 1                                            

                             →  αβ = c÷a                            →  αβ = 1 x 0

                                     = 0÷1                                        = 0

                              = 0                                  

So, α+β = -b÷a   and  αβ = c÷a
