if you put 2 in the place of x then u will get 3×2^2-5×2-2= 0

3x2-5x-2=0
3x2-6x+1x-2=0
3x(x-2)+1(x-2)=0
(x-2)(3x+1)=0
x=2 and x=-1/3
3x2-6x+1x-2=0
3x(x-2)+1(x-2)=0
(x-2)(3x+1)=0
x=2 and x=-1/3
