f(x)=x^2-4= x^2-2^2

=(x-2)(x+2)

Now,

f(x)=0

=>(x-2)(x+2)=0

=>x=2 or, -2

Let a and b be the zeros of given polynomial.

=>a=2 and b= -2

Sum of zeros:

a+b=2-2=0

Product of zeros:

ab=(2)(-2)=-4

Hope it helps!
