Answer:

p(x) = 5-9x ---------- (i)

Suppose,

=> p(x) = 0

=> 5-9x= 0

=> -9x = -5

=> x = -5/-9

=> x = 5/9

Same ---

p(x) = x (x- 2) ------------ (ii)

=> p(x) = 0

=> x(x- 2) = 0

=> 2x- 2 = 0

=> 2x = 2

=> x = 2/2

(i) from-------

p(x) = 5-9x

=>p(5/9) = 5-9 ( 5/9)

= 5-9 × 5/9

= 5-5

= 0

(ii) from-------

p(x) = x(x- 2)

=>p(2/2) = 2/2 {(2/2) - 2}

=2/2 × 2/2 {-2}

= 4/4 - 2

= 4-8/4

= - 4/4

= -1

Final answer---- (0, -1)
