 {x}^{2} - 6x + 8

Let p(x) = x^2 - 6x + 8

Zero of the polynomial is the value of x where p(x) = 0.

putting p(x) = 0

 {x}^{2} - 6x + 8 = 0

We find roots using splitting the middle term method

x^2 - 6x +8

x^2 - 4x - 2x + 8

x( x-4) - 2 ( x - 4)

(x -4)(x -2).

So, x = 4, 2.
