we've to verify to relationship between the zeroes and the coefficient.

so first of all, we needa find it's zeroes.

➡ x² - 4 = 0

➡ x² = 4

➡ x = ±√4

➡ x = 2, x = -2

therefore the zeroes are 2 and -2

now,

standard form of quadratic equation = ax² + bx + c

here, a = 1, b = 0 and c = -4

sum of zeroes = -b/a

➡ 2 + (-2)

➡ 2 - 2 = 0
